The Problem: Office-Grade USB Hubs Can't Survive Industrial Test Cycles

Automated test benches, mobile device farms, and production QA lines run USB connections through thousands of enumeration cycles a day. A desktop hub bought off a retail shelf was never designed for that duty cycle — and it certainly wasn't designed to be controlled by a script.

When a phone freezes mid-test on a device farm, or a target board needs a hard power-cycle at 3 a.m. during an unattended burn-in run, a passive hub forces someone to walk to the rack and pull a cable by hand. When a port starts drawing abnormal current, there's no telemetry to flag it before a device — or a batch of test data — is damaged.

For engineering teams building test fixtures, HIL rigs, or device-farm infrastructure, this isn't a convenience gap — it's a repeatability and uptime problem that shows up directly in engineering hours and test yield.

The Solution: AOK-TP911-FR Programmable Industrial USB Hub

The AOK-TP911-FR is a 10-port industrial USB hub built specifically for software-driven test and automation environments. Every port can be switched, monitored, and secured independently — turning a passive connectivity device into an active, scriptable node in your test infrastructure.

Per-Port Power Switching (PPPS) lets an engineer — or an automated test script — cut and restore power to any single port on command, reproducing a physical unplug/replug event without ever touching a cable. Combined with the hub's real-time voltage and current telemetry, teams get live visibility into what every connected device is actually doing, port by port.

Built-in password protection keeps shared lab equipment safe from accidental shutoffs, and an integrated Gigabit Ethernet port gives the hub a wired network connection alongside its USB ports — useful for keeping a networked device under test connected without tying up a separate LAN drop.

Core Capabilities

■

Per-Port Power Switching

Independently power any port on or off from software. Script full test cycles — power-cycle a frozen device, replay an enumeration event, or reset a target board — with zero manual intervention.

▲

Real-Time V/A Monitoring

Live per-port voltage and current readings surfaced in the control software. Catch abnormal draw before a device fails, watch charging curves, or set overcurrent alerts on the fly.

★

Integrated Gigabit Ethernet Port

A built-in RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port gives the hub its own wired network drop — handy for keeping a networked target device connected in a rack where LAN ports are scarce.

◆

Industrial-Grade Protection

ESD and surge protection on every port, plus 2.2A per-port overcurrent protection. A rugged black aluminum enclosure is built for the electrical noise of a test rack or factory floor.

●

Flexible Mounting

DIN-rail, wall, and desktop mounting all ship in the box, so the same unit drops into a control cabinet, a rack, or a bench without extra hardware sourcing.

▸

Software & API Integration

Windows control software with password protection out of the box, plus a documented interface for integration into custom test scripts, CI pipelines, and in-house dashboards.

Where Engineering Teams Put It to Work

USB Product Manufacturing & QA

Run unattended plug/unplug endurance testing across 10 units at once on lines producing flash drives, cables, or adapters — turning a multi-shift manual job into an overnight scripted run.

Mobile Device Farms

Keep phones and tablets charged and connected through multi-day app-testing runs, with per-port resets for frozen devices and BC1.2 charging that keeps pace with the test load.

Embedded & HIL Test Benches

Power-cycle target boards, reflash firmware over USB, and validate enumeration under varying power states — a scriptable USB backbone for automotive ADAS/BMS rigs and aerospace HIL setups.

Data Center & Server Room USB Assets

DIN-rail mounting and per-port power switching simplify managing USB security dongles, storage, and management interfaces in a rack, with an onboard Ethernet port to keep networked equipment connected alongside them.

Battery & Charger Validation

Per-port V/A telemetry doubles as a basic power-analysis tool for power bank and charger manufacturers — watch charging curves live and flag anomalies before they reach a customer.

Why Source the TP911-FR from AOK

Programmable USB hubs with per-port switching have historically come from a handful of Western specialty vendors, often priced well above $800 per unit.

AOK Electronics has manufactured industrial USB hardware for 17+ years from our own 2,000 m² facility in Zhongshan, Guangdong, running in-house SMT lines and injection molding alongside a dedicated R&D team. That lets us offer the TP911-FR at direct factory pricing, with OEM/ODM options covering custom branding, port configuration, and control-software interface — and sample-to-production lead times as short as 30–40 days.

Every unit ships CE, FCC, and RoHS certified, with the mounting kit and control software included, and we support orders from 100-piece pilot batches up to 50,000+ unit production runs.
