AOK's PWR Series are compact industrial DC-to-USB charging modules designed for embedded installation — mounted behind panels, inside dashboards, or in control enclosures, with the USB-C port exposed through a panel cutout. They convert 9–28V DC directly to USB-C PD fast charging at up to 140W per port, in a single efficient step. Screw-lock USB-C connectors prevent disconnection from vibration, and the metal housing withstands harsh operating conditions from -20°C to +70°C.

Why Eliminate the Inverter?

Traditional setup: Battery (12/24V DC) → Inverter (DC→AC 220V) → Wall charger (AC→DC) → Device. Two conversion steps, 20–40% energy loss as heat, bulky inverter box, and a standard wall charger that vibrates loose.

Behind-panel mounting

The PWR module mounts behind a dashboard, console panel, or enclosure wall using screw holes on the metal bracket. The USB-C port faces outward through a panel cutout — only the port is visible to the end user, keeping the installation clean and professional.

Screw-lock USB-C output

USB-IF standard screw-lock mechanism physically locks the cable to the charger. In high-vibration environments — trucks, boats, construction equipment — this prevents the cable from disconnecting during operation. Critical for devices that must stay charged on the move.

DC jack or terminal block input

Two input options: DC 5.5x2.5mm jack for quick connections, or 2-pin terminal block for permanent hardwired installations directly to the battery, fuse box, or DC bus. Accepts 9–28V DC, covering 12V cars, 24V trucks, and solar/marine systems.

Fleet Vehicles & Commercial Trucks

Fleet integrators install PWR modules behind the dashboard or center console. USB-C ports are exposed through panel cutouts for drivers to charge tablets, laptops, and handheld scanners. Terminal block wiring connects directly to the fuse box for a permanent, clean installation across entire fleets.

Emergency & Special-Purpose Vehicles

Ambulances, fire trucks, patrol cars, and military vehicles need reliable high-power charging for rugged laptops and communication equipment. The 100W and 140W models are embedded into the vehicle's equipment rack or console, hardwired to the 12V/24V system. OEM vehicle manufacturers integrate them at the factory.

Boats and yachts run on 12V or 24V DC battery banks. PWR modules mount inside the helm console or cabin panel, providing fast USB-C charging for navigation tablets, communication devices, and personal electronics — without running the generator for AC power.

Installation Note

The PWR Series is designed as an embedded charging module, not a consumer plug-and-play device. Professional installation is recommended. Typical integration involves mounting the unit behind a panel or inside an enclosure, with the USB-C port accessible through a cutout, and the DC input hardwired to the vehicle battery, fuse box, or DC power bus via the 2-pin terminal block.

For lower-power models (PWR-1A1C at 78W and PWR-1C-100W at 100W), a cigarette lighter adapter cable (12V cigarette plug to DC 5.5x2.5mm) can also be used for quick, non-permanent installations — provided the vehicle's cigarette lighter fuse is rated at 10A or higher.
