From Fixed Access Devices to Laptop Carts — AOK-POE01, POE02, HPOE30, HPOE60 and HPOE85
✓ One Cable: Network + Power✓ No Wall Outlets Needed✓ IEEE 802.3af / at / bt✓ 10–85W PoE Budget✓ USB-C PD Charging✓ Gigabit Ethernet
Classrooms, labs and libraries run more fixed and semi-fixed devices than ever: wall-mounted tablets, access readers, laptop carts, learning stations with a keyboard and camera. Each one needs a network connection to reach the school's content server, and it needs mains power to stay on. That means two cables and two installation points for every device — one data run to a switch, and one power run to the nearest outlet, which is rarely close enough.
In a room with twenty or thirty devices, that doubles every cable run, every wall penetration and every point of failure. Outlets get overloaded with chargers, power bricks clutter desks and carts, and moving a station means re-running both cables again. Facilities teams end up maintaining two separate networks — electrical and data — just to keep devices online and charged.
AOK's PoE hubs and adapters take a single Ethernet cable from a PoE switch or injector and split it back out at the device into exactly what that device needs: a network connection and a regulated USB-C charging current, both carried over the one cable already run to the wall or ceiling.
The range covers five power tiers, so the device decides the model rather than the other way around. AOK-POE01 and AOK-POE02 are compact adapters with an integrated USB-C cable for a single low-power device. AOK-HPOE30, HPOE60 and HPOE85 add a 3-port USB-A 5Gbps hub on top of the same PoE-to-USB-C power delivery, at budgets from 30W up to 85W — enough to dock and charge a tablet, a thin laptop, or a full-size laptop from the same single Ethernet drop.

■ Devices Are Always Ready With power and network both live on the same cable, a tablet or laptop stays charged and connected the moment it's mounted or docked — no more dead batteries interrupting a lesson, and no scramble to find a free outlet before class starts. | ▲ Fewer Cables, Cleaner Rooms One cable per station instead of two means less clutter on desks and walls, fewer trip hazards, and a tidier classroom that's easier for teachers and students to work around. | ★ Easier to Install, Move and Scale Adding a new station or rearranging a room only means running one cable to a PoE switch port, not coordinating a separate electrical outlet install. Expanding a lab to more seats is a matter of switch ports, not wiring projects. | ◆ Simpler for IT to Maintain School IT staff already manage PoE switches for cameras and access points. Bringing device power onto the same PoE infrastructure means one system to monitor, instead of a parallel electrical network just for charging. |
| AOK-POE01 | 802.3af, 10W max PoE budget, 5V/2A (10W max) to device — for small fixed devices like door access readers, intercoms and attendance scanners that don't need much power. |
| AOK-POE02 | 802.3at, 15W max PoE budget, 5V/3A (15W max) to device, Gigabit Ethernet — the standard choice for a single wall or desk-mounted tablet with no extra peripherals. |
| AOK-HPOE30 | 802.3at, 30W max PoE budget, up to 20W PD to device, plus 3x USB-A 5Gbps — for a tablet station that also docks a keyboard, stylus receiver or document camera. |
| AOK-HPOE60 | 802.3bt, 60W max PoE budget, up to 45W PD to device, plus 3x USB-A 5Gbps — enough to charge a thin-and-light laptop while docked, for laptop carts and training rooms. |
| AOK-HPOE85 | 802.3bt, 85W max PoE budget, up to 60W PD to device, plus 3x USB-A 5Gbps — the highest-power option for full-size laptops in STEM labs and computer science classrooms. |
All five require an IEEE 802.3af/at/bt-compliant PoE switch or injector (PSE) as the power source. Confirm the switch's per-port and total PoE power budget before sizing a classroom-wide rollout.
POE01 — Access Readers and Small Fixed Devices Door access readers, intercoms, attendance scanners and small ticket or label printers mounted near classroom and building entrances — all powered and networked from one cable, with no outlet needed at the mounting point. |
POE02 — Wall and Desk-Mounted Classroom Tablets Fixed tablet stations used for attendance, lesson content or interactive learning apps. AOK-POE02 keeps each tablet charged and online from a single cable run to the nearest PoE switch. |
HPOE30 — Tablet Carts and Learning Stations With Peripherals Shared tablet carts and learning stations where a tablet also needs a keyboard, stylus receiver or document camera connected. A single Ethernet run to each slot replaces a separate charger and cable per device. |
HPOE60 — Laptop Carts and Training Rooms Classrooms and training rooms where a thin-and-light laptop needs to charge and dock to a webcam, keyboard and storage drive, but running AC power to every seat isn't practical. |
HPOE85 — STEM Labs and Computer Science Classrooms Higher-draw, full-size laptops and workstations used for CAD, video editing or engineering coursework, where HPOE60's 45W isn't enough. HPOE85 covers these seats from the same single-cable PoE setup. |

AOK Electronics has built industrial USB and power connectivity hardware since 2008. The PoE hub and adapter range applies that same single-cable philosophy to education and fixed-device deployments: fewer parts at the install point, consistent charging behavior, and hardware built to run unattended for years.
As an OEM/ODM manufacturer, AOK can adjust cable length, connector type and PD power tier for integrators building tablet carts, laptop carts or classroom furniture at volume.
